Ellen Chenoweth

hello.

I am a culture worker / performance-lover based in Philadelphia.

I am the Director of Finance and Operations for Works & Process. I write grants for a number of different artists and organizations. And I am the copyeditor for Dance Chronicle, an academic journal. (Click over here for a non-comprehensive list of friends and associates.)

I am interested in how we can build love and care into our performing arts environments and systems.

In the past, I’ve worked at the Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago as the Lead Curator and Director of the Dance Presenting Series and a full-time faculty member, at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the Black Cat, and the Pig Iron Theatre Company. I’ve studied at Rice University, Texas Woman’s University, and Wesleyan University, but have learned the most from the artists I work with / around / among.

I’m available for writing, editing, grant panels, and other collaborations.

if you would like to be in touch, email me at solidseam at gmail.
